A basic overview of what I do when I go to work:

At Work, we support over 300 hosts. We constantly monitor and tweak them for maximum performance, this job involves constant connection to the monitoring networks through computers, softwares specifically designed for pocket pc’s, SMS networks, and smaller, more mobile platforms. Our hosts are mainly served by Dell Blade servers and several other rackmount systems. These servers are monitored with the help of Environmental and HVAC supervision systems and other system diagnostics program which monitor for storage, process status, memory etc. As an Infrastructure support specialist, we provide other companies with technologies and strategies to better manage their own products, systems and people.
